It all started over twenty years ago when we were in college...

We were young and in love; life was great. I had this idea to tease him with cut-outs from dirty magazines on the bottom of his plate, but it was a bit of a struggle to get it to work in reality.

After some trial and error, I found that a clear glass plate and clear adhesive worked well together!

I began cutting out pictures, dirty phrases, and anything else that I thought would work for my idea. After getting a set of plates and putting it all together, I impatiently waited until he came back to the apartment...

As he ate, his eyes lit up and his charming laugh erupted as he uncovered more and more of the naughty plate in front of him!

The plates became a hit between us AND all our friends, easily becoming the focal point of many wild college parties...

Sadly, a well-meaning friend put all but one of these Dirty Plates in the dishwasher one night after a crazy party. She didn't know all my hard work would wash away forever.

Thankfully, one Dirty Plate didn't get into that load and was saved from destruction! For 20 years I've carried that plate around, along with the fond memories we made while enjoying them.

I knew that one day, my Dirty Dishes™️ would become a reality once again...

And yes, it worked. 😉
I got the guy hook, line, and sinker. We're still madly in love, live a beautiful life together, and now have two wonderful sons that mean the world to us!
